We reached at 630 and got our drinks. we then ordered a grilled chicken breast with special sauce and a beer battered fish and chips (snapper). there were like 5 people at the store - the owner and his wife + 3 ka kias. looked like a big business in the making. even though it was still early and there were not much patrons, the kitchen looked damn busy. apparently, alot of pple were ordering by phone orders and they were preparing the food before they come.

we got our special waiting no. SAN HAOOO~! the same no. on my boy scouts soccer jersey, which disbanded after 1 match.

japan has to have the most vending machines around. you can find one in almost every nook and corner. and they are well mantained too, because every now and then got people cleaning them. they are high tech too, some even have small tvs installed.

when eating the udon, they make very loud slurping sounds. used to think its just their habit, but discovered that it tastes better to slurp because of the chap that goes with it.

The end result - over-eating and 3 pregnant men seen walking around Vivo City

During our peak, we went to sakae sushi and beat everyone around us

but today, we lost to a table of gals who came earlier than us but leave later than us. damn

Rating by tham - 3.75/5.. but due to over-eating, feels like a 3/5... most of the dim sum are stuffed with prawns.. going to have prawn phobia for the next few days

Tham recommended this dim sum buffet. pimple showing up again~ gosh. must do facial tonight =)

Restaurant looked quite nice, got blue sky theme on top.

We tried the steamed dim sum first... well, i was unable to take a photo with all the food present. fast chopsticks by ang and ming. already devouring the food before i took the photo

Tham lamented "only girls can wait for all the food to come first then take photos for blogging"

Ang shoots back "they are not respecting the food!"

now we ordered the fried dim sum. but due to too much siew mai ordered by our siew mai king, we can hardly eat anything else. I should have ordered more shanghai tang bao...

all these fried dim sum looks monsterous towards the end.

The big fried stuff is actually some cut fruits in salad sauce fried like a goreng pisang.

due to order too much, we need to finish up the remaining food. ming taught us some wierd japanese 'thumb' game... loser to finish up the food

i think called I-CHI-TO or something... play 'fist' guess with 2 thumbs....

ang lost to tham and finished up the last fried prawn dumpling~ thams up

Ok on 7th Jun 2008 Sat, I told the gang that I would be going to Tokyo on the following day.

So on 8th Jun, off I went, and I am lucky to come back in a piece.

On that fateful day, I almost wanted to go to Akihabara, the anime and electic town which I was telling the gang about; but decided against it.

After I came back to Kiryu, I was told that this happened on the same day I was in Tokyo.

Went to a nearby NTT DoCoMo shop to get a handphone; an unforgettable experience.

I went with a friend who got a new phone too. It a nutshell, it took us 3 hours to settle 2 phones ... couldn't believe how inefficient the staff Or system was, or the staff And system were...

She kept looking at the screen and then at my new phone, and then at the screen again back and forth, for god knows what. The paper work was long and tedious as usual, as I have come to learn after more than 2 months of living here.

Finally got my phone with the mushroom head mascot toy:

I thought it was over ... not quite.

The girl proceeded to drop one bombshell after another:

1)Mine was a free phone even if I DIDN'T sign a 2year contract. but if I stop the service after one year, I would have to pay a penalty ... dur

2)Free phone but must pay registration fee. AND its not cheap at all.

3)ok so from this sentence onwards I will put free in inverted comas because its not so free afterall.

because my phone is a "free" phone, my subcription fees are higher ..... wtf

4) I wanted a no frills phone. Just telephone, SMS, and alarm clock is all that I use. BUT da suky girl said, "for a new phone, you have to suscribe to 3 services minimum for 3 months." WTFWTF I am forced to subscribe for services which I don't use and have to PAY for it. She proceeded,"if you want to cancel the services after 3 months, you will have to come here to do it." "Can I call to cancel?" "I'm very sorry, but Cannot" "Can give instruction to cancel after 3 months now?" "I'm very sorry, but Cannot" ... inefficient, inflexible AND polite.

5) the ultimate bombshell," Would you like to purchase a cable to charge your phone? It costs xxx yen"

Sean's mind,"WTF I have to buy a cable to charge my phone?? It doesn't come with it ??? Then OF COURSE LA!! where got people buy phone without charger??"

Sean's mouth,"All rite then, yes please."

I felt tham's verdict was a tad too harsh, so I decided to do the hardogay "I wanted to try it once" too.

Verdict: -.-"' tham u're right. No pic of my wild mushroom soup.. but it looked pretty 'unwild'.. i would rather pay $1.50 more for soup spoon's aircon shoppe + bun.

Tham trip to Saybons~

"I wanted to try it once." the starting line of Hard Gay was in my mind when i visited this french food store in raffles place (opp the temple)

Especially when sean is the one who recommended me to this french food, the image of Hard Gay and Sean did a transformer in tham afternoon sleepy mind. I shall post it when I have time to do a little 'photoshop'

Here it goes - seafood soup... $4.....this is not your typical soup spoon soup. It is totally liquid. good for people with no teeth or had tooth operation.

Here it goes again - ham and cheese crepe.... $4.... flat roti prata with ham n cheese.

verdict - not for everybody / no wonder most french people are slim

saving alot of 'comments' because this is sean recommendation.

after that, I went to San Francisco. I think I never go there for 2 months+ already. The cafe lady was asking where is her favourite boy. I had to tell her the cruel truth - he left for jipun mei mei.

I was parking at Jurong IMM top floor and saw some 5 security guards at the staircase. Initially I thought they were some xiao hun hun.

Using my spider sense, I realised a 'star' was coming... looking at the poster, I saw Chao Ge and his half-naked pose. He is definitely one of the rising star. The compere said he is a 'blue chip'. Nice songs, great voice. Being an avid ou xiang ju lover, I definitely must wait for him to come. See below
